$5 Fall Wreath {From Pinterest to Life}

How about some "pinspiration"!?!

Mom and I both had this wreath pinned on our Pinterest Boards!

So we decided to re-create ours for fall.

We found these grapevine wreaths at Wal-Mart for around $3.

I picked up some fall foliage from Michael's for half off. (Around 50cents a stem)

We gathered our stems and wrapped them in twine.

Figured out our placement and hot glued them down.

Then we added some tulle and created a bow, leaving enough tulle at the end of the bow to wrap around the entire wreath.

Hung it up on the door and we're good to go!

For around $5 each we have a cute fall wreath!

Screen Door Art

First I want to start off today by saying WELCOME! I've notcied that little number over there on the right side go up! Welcome to 20Something it's a pleasure to have you here! How fitting that I choose today to say welcome to all of you and my project for the day is a new welcome sign!

Back when I picked up those window frames I also got an old screen door (for FREE!!)! I knew I could find something to do with it! I was originally planning on exchanging my 1970's metal screened door for this puppy... But the other day the wind blew it over and it cracked the top left of it. :-(

So I decided to turn it into some porch art! I had this idea floating around in my head for a couple of days. When I saw something similar over at The Lettered Cottage I KNEW it had to be a good idea!

I knew that I wanted to use the top of the door to hang a wreath... but I also wanted it to be a welcome sign.

So I printed out the word "welcome" in microsoft word. I used a bold font to make the letters wider and easier to paint as well.

I taped "welcome" to the underside of the screen. I busted out the black paint and a brush and went to work. (Make sure to really get the brush into the screen. It gives a much cleaner look if you really coat it!)

I let it dry for a bit and took off the paper! Now it looks like this!

I propped it up between my porch rockers!

I think it really makes the porch more inviting! I might go back over it a couple of more times so that you can see it from the road. But for now my guest can see it while we sit on the front porch with a glass of cold iced tea! Now all it needs is a spring wreath...
