It's about time...

...for me to show you our new place right? Gah it feels like it's been FOREVER since I've done anything on here. I miss you guys! I *think* I'm ready to get back into the swing of things...

So here it is. Our new place!

When you first walk in you enter the dining room. Nothing fancy.

View from the door into my new office area... I LOVE all the natural light that this apartment offers!

We sold our old couches... Come on who wants to move two couches up to the second story? Not I said the fly! When things calm down a bit and we get our cash flow situated again we'll look into purchasing new ones. For now we use the vintage love seat.

The kitchen is my absolute FAVORITE room in the house! It's HUGE! There is a TON of cabinet storage here, which is great and hard to come by in most apartments! Plus it's decorated with a bunch of vintage goodies!

Want to know a secret? The "shower curtain" isn't really meant for a shower... it's two window curtains!

Our bathroom is painted the same color as the kitchen, which is a golden butter color. Didn't think I was going to like it at first but it's really growing on me!

So there it is... well minus the bedroom anyways. Because let's face it... The bedroom is usually the LAST room you complete right? Anywho... Later this week I'll show you all the nity gritty, and some Pinterest ideas that I've utilized in the new place!

Another Week...

I'm NOT excited to say that our move has been postponed a week...{It is actually working out for the best since we just had our yard sale this past Friday... But I'm ready to move!}
That means another week of not blogging... And I'm dying to! There are so many great blogs out there posting their fun fall decor and I can't wait to get started!
I have about a million different ideas floating around in my head for projects to share. On top of that my projects are now going to be "take away designs" as Momma Hen likes to call them! Plus I'll be working on organizing tips and tricks... I know if my brother "Tom" saw that he would laugh. But really, one of the whole reasons we're moving is to change and better ourselves. So why not start at home?

On another note... I've had this song stuck in my head ALL WEEKEND LONG! I can't listen to it enough!

LOVE me some APC!

Happy Fall Y'all!

 Happy Fall Y'all!

Sadly I'm not working on any fall decorating quite yet. Mainly because all of my decor is neatly packed up in moving boxes and storage tubs.

 Lordy lordy! I can't wait to get this move over with so that I can unpack, re-decorate, and get to crafting again! Even the hubs said last night, "Don't you have anything to be working on?"

Ugh yea babe I do... Packing up this house! What are YOU doing?!?!

Anywho... How about some "Pinspiration" from my Autumn board on Pinterest?!

Love the acorns and candles!

*Dreaming of monogrammed Pumpkins and burlap!*

Soft lighting, galvanized buckets, branches, and pumpkins. What's not to love?

How's your fall decorating going? Are you lucky enough to link up over at Laya and Kevin's?

$5 Fall Wreath {From Pinterest to Life}

How about some "pinspiration"!?!

Mom and I both had this wreath pinned on our Pinterest Boards!

So we decided to re-create ours for fall.

We found these grapevine wreaths at Wal-Mart for around $3.

I picked up some fall foliage from Michael's for half off. (Around 50cents a stem)
We gathered our stems and wrapped them in twine.

Figured out our placement and hot glued them down.
Then we added some tulle and created a bow, leaving enough tulle at the end of the bow to wrap around the entire wreath.

Hung it up on the door and we're good to go!
For around $5 each we have a cute fall wreath!

I'll be linking up HERE!

P.S. I fixed the links on the right side so you should be able to snoop around now!
P.S.S. Who knows how to center your blog header?!?!

Pinterest to Life {Jewelry Tray/ Cupcake Stand}

How was y'alls 3 day weekend? I had a GREAT weekend! Saturday I crafted with mom, Sunday went to my aunts and visited with my cousins, aunt, dad, and step-mom. Monday... I vegged out in this AWESOME weather!
How ironic that this was the "last weekend of summer" and the weather took a turn for cool? I'm in love people! In LOVE with this weather!

Anywho... How about a
Project that is NOT an outfit?!?

Well Mom found THIS cute pin. And I had THIS pin.

So while Mom was out at the local thrift shops she found some really cute plates, saucers, and candle sticks.

We busted out the glass glue and got to work.

Centered the candle stick onto the bottom plate.

Then glued around the other end of the candle stick and placed the saucer on top of that.

Jewelry Holder? Cupcake holder? The possibilities are endless!

Mason Jar Holder

I'm pretty sure that Mason Jars are God's gift to homemakers.

They look vintage, and chic, and rustic, and everything I want my home to represent.
I-LOVE-MASON-JARS!

So I made a mason jar holder for my FABRIC FLOWER BOUQUET.

I simply took a piece of 1x6, cut it down to about 8" long and painted it. Then I used a pipe clamp that I got from a home improvement store (I took a jar with me to the store to find the perfect size) and screwed it into the wood. Nailed a picture hanger to the back and hung it up. Easy and Cheap. Just how I like it. {hehe}

Here's some more Mason Jar "Pinspiration"

Gallery Wall!

I've been needing to re-do my gallery wall. I love having old black and white photos of family up. My gallery wall used to just have pictures of family. It wasn't utilizing all of the space on this GINORMOUS wall. So I got to work on fixing that.

The mirror I found at the dollar store. It was originally gold, a couple of coats of spray paint and it's now a beautiful silver.

I found the "home" print on Pinterest and downloaded it from eighteen25.

This little print also came from Pinterest. I just printed it off and framed it. Love the saying. Reminds me of my great grandmother. {Read about her HERE}

So what do you think? Improvement? Best part? There's room to add more!

Burlap Wall Art!

Sooooooooooo remember the old coffee sack that I got when I went garage sale shopping?
Yeah... It's been sitting in a bag, patiently waiting for me to do something with it.

Well Buddy. Your time has come.

First up. He needs a good ironing.

{Don't have starch on hand? Use hairspray... Works the same!}

Found this frame at the dollar store for around $4. The color isn't too pretty but it doesn't matter... It's going to be covered up!

I laid the coffee sack on top on the frame, moving it around till I had it in just the right spot.

Then I lifted all 4 corners and put a dab of hot glue so that it would stay put while I flipped it over and glued it onto the back of the frame.

Flipped it over and started gluing. Then I cut off the excess.

Want to see the finished product?!?!? You'll have to come back tomorrow! It's going up on my gallery wall!
{Which I'm in the process of re-doing right now... Finishing it up tonight so that I can show you all tomorrow!}

If you "Like" 20Something on Facebook you can see my current gallery wall photo. Eh it's so-so... That's why it's getting a revamp! And here's some gallery wall inspiration for you!
