Memories

 So you know how I told you HERE that there's big changes coming? HERE I told you the hubs and I are going through a bunch of our stuff. Last night hubs and I decided to go through our storage boxes...

G says that I'm not "sacrificing" enough for our move, he says I'm not getting rid of enough stuff. He has no idea, I guess he can't see all of the BIG BLACK TRASH BAGS FULL of TRASH throughout the house... All filled with stuff that I'm sacrificing! I guess he can't see the boxes and boxes of stuff for our garage sale either... But now he's just being CRAZY!

Last night he pulled out 4 storage tubs of ,yes, my stuff. My grade school memorabilia that my mom has collected for me over the years. Cards and coloring books, school pictures and grades for each year, and even some old homework and assignments. He told me to get rid of my stuff...

"The Scary House"
and the REALLY scary cat? Haha

I learned how drugs can be harmful at a very young age.

Even as a youngster I knew that "interior design" barbie must match her surroundings...

Virtual high five to the person who can find me in my second grade class photo!

How can he think that I'm going to get rid of this stuff?!?!? It's memories! 13 years of school memories folks... you can't replace this stuff... So what do I do? Get a REALLY BIG box and put 4 storage tubs of stuff into 1 box... That's ingenuity!
;-)

Come PARTY with me!

Yes we woke up ON the beach... amazing.

We showered in PUBLIC... (Hey when you're camping you've got to shower somewhere!)

If you ever visit Surfside you MUST eat the patty melt at Kitty's!

We had so much fun on the beach... Sunburn or not we can't wait to go back again! (Hopefully in July!)

I'll be linking to some of *THESE* great parties!

Shamrock Texas {100 Years and still Rockin}

How was your weekend? I hope it was GREAT! This weekend we took a family vacation! We all traveled up to the Texas panhandle for Shamrock's 100th anniversary celebration!

Here's a little bit of history for ya!

Shamrock was founded in 1911 and my great great grandfather was the first ever poilce chief! Since it was their 100th year celebration and they were also honoring my great great grandfather we were given the opportunity to be the GRAND MARSHALL'S of the parade! Whoot whoot!

Here's some pics from this weekend!

After the Parade we walked around town. I had to take some pics of the historic Magnolia gas station.

Later that night we went to the concert and some of us got our boots scootin'! Ty Herndon was the featured band!

{Love our necklaces? But my Rosette necklace from Pink Lemonade and Sarah's from Simple Daisy}

The next morning we woke up and headed out. G and I decided to travel down Route 66 some!
{Yes Shamrock is on Historic Route 66!!!}

And then we took the long road home...

We had a WONERFUL time! If you are ever in the West Texas panhandle... stop on by and enjoy the town!
