I'm no fashion blogger!

Remember in *this* post when I showed you what I would wear if I was fashionable?!?
 Well... I tried!

And just cuz he's cute... I'll throw in a couple shots of G!

Maybe if I start putting together cute outfits once a week I'll actually start trying to wear something other than a tee-shirt and jeans...

Peep Story!

WARNING ADULT HUMOR AHEAD WITH A SIDE OF MARSHMALLOW PEEP NUDITY

Here's a little Peep story for you to enjoy...

Once upon a time there were two Peep buddies who were great friends.

These two Peep friends had just been released from the slammer.

Since it was their first night of freedom they headed out to the local bar...

...these two buddies decided to enjoy their night out on the town with a little Peep show.

Sadly these two friends had their eyes on the same sweet little bunny...

At the end of the night though... She could only choose one...

That didn't sit well with the Peep who didn't get picked...

And the following battle ensued...

{I made my own peep war video but I couldn't get it to upload... guess I stood too close to the microwave for nothing!}

Only one Peep could win... and well the one that lost...

Let's just say it wasn't a jury of his peers... and in the end...
They sent him to the chair...

Happy Easter Week!!!

Weekend Finds

This weekend while out at the in-laws I found some goodies!

G and I walked out to the old barn and he sweetly crawled inside to go scavenger hunting for me!
{Yes I'm a wimp when it comes to snakes so I wouldn't go in.}

When he came back out this is what he had!

{Yes he actually picked some Indian Paintbrush for me too!}

What a sweetie! He knew just what I would want! Can't wait to find a place to put it all!

How was your weekend?

Friday Eye Candy {7} Anthro who?! Urban Outfitters what?

In high school I used to go to Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters with my girlfriend Becca.
We used to walk in there like we owned the place... but would secretly covet the items they had on display and work our way back to the sale room...
 {There room where there MIGHT be something we could actually afford!}

I haven't been back since high school...

While looking around blog land I've noticed more and more bloggers knocking off Urban Outfitters or Anthro so I decided to meander my way back to their realm... And what did I find?!?!

Amazing goodies that I don't think I can live without! And not too bad of prices either!

2. Farmer's Egg Crate from Anthro. {Need this for a jewlery holder!}
4. Vintage Beverage Bottle from Urban Outfitters

I think next time I make my way to Dallas to see my mom I will have to make a stop at Mockingbird Station to pick up a few things...

Happy Shopping! I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Sarah K's First of the Month Project!

Like the new logo?!?! Ehh?!?! Haha Okay I though it was funny... Alright Sarah take it away!

So this month's project is a bit quick and easy.
As I was cruising my local craft store I saw this package of over-sized journal spots by October Afternoon.
Since all the papers are about the same size, I thought they would make a great mini album. I quickly grabbed a package, a white hinged keyring, and coordinating accent pack. All set!

{They pics are horizontal on my computer can't get them to flip in blogger... just turn your head}

I rummaged through my pictures and found a few of Cason that never made it into an album. I trimmed them down and settled on an order and accent placement.

{Once again... just turn your head}
I committed to what I had the first go-round so I stuck everything down.

Lastly, I worked on the cover/title page. I love the feathers that came in the coordinating accents and knew the front page was the perfect place for them! Once I was happy with their placement I hot glued them down. Stickered on my title and Voila! Super quick and easy!

Hey, when you are chasing around a 3 year old and a 1 year old quick and easy are right up my alley!

Hope you enjoy!
Sarah K

Thanks for sharing Sarah! I love the pic of Cason's tush on the scale! Too cute!

Not just about crafts...

I know this blog started out as being about crafts... but I want to make it more than that. I want to make it a place where people can relate to the daily life of a 20Something newlywed...

With that being said, I have a struggle that I'm not quite sure how to deal with...

I LOVE MY HUSBAND! He truly is my BEST friend.
{He puts up with me and that says A LOT! Lol}

I LOVE MY HUBS FAMILY! I love his parents, grandparents, and siblings! I LOVE THEM!

Here is where the problem arises... When I want to spend time with my family {who live 2.5 Hrs. away} I schedule a time to go see them. I call my mom and see what works best for her or vice versa and she'll come down to visit or we'll head out her way.

I don't just show up on her door step and say "HEY! What's for dinner!?!?!"  That's not how I was raised. I don't believe in just showing up at others houses. I believe you are supposed to be invited.

I know that MAY not be normal when it comes to family but for me it is.
{Like Bethenny Frankel says "There is NO NORMAL family"} Everyone is different.

The hubs thinks it's okay to just drop on by his Dad's house. {Who lives 15 minutes away} That may work for him but I don't feel the same. I feel like I'm imposing when we show up and his Dad's in the middle of cooking dinner. I don't think it's fair to just show up and assume it would be okay for us to hang out. I don't think it's fair to show up during supper time.

I've voiced this to the hubs before but I don't think he understands what I mean. He says he likes to be "spontaneous". I don't think that kind of spontaneity is okay when it comes to imposing on others.

At the same time I don't want to show up at his parents and be like "Hey why don't y'all ever invite us over for a family supper?"

I dunno I guess this whole mixing-two-family's-into-one thing is still kinda hard...

Friday Eye Candy {5}

To honor my recent {mental vacation to the beach} here is a little

that brings the coast a little further inland...

Love this print from Dear Collen on Etsy. LOVE the quote too! What a wonderful way to look at life!

How about some Starfish Specimen Art? From Project Cottage.

I do believe I would be dreaming of the sea as I rest my head on this little pillow!

I could sail away to some island out in the Bahama's!

Love Starfish... And LOVE them as garland!

Happy Shopping! Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
