What's Black and White and Re(a)d all over???

The Newspaper silly! Or in this case a book! So I've seen a lot of book wreaths in Blogland lately. I love anything and everything to do with books! I want an at home library some day! So it hurt me to destroy a book for this project but hey I'm still kicking (and I LOVE how it turned out!)! Plus this book was free, from 1970 and asked on the cover if you could tell if this woman was loose?!?!?! WHAT?!?!?!

Yes it did... So I didn't feel TOO bad about tearing out the pages!

What you're going to need:
  • Book (Free)
  • Unfinished wood frame (Michael's $1)
  • Exacto Knife (Had)
  • Glue (Had)

First I covered the frame with glue.

Then I laid out some pages over the frame and put on another layer of glue on top to seal it.

I did about 2 or 3 coats of glue across the top to really seal it! Then I used my Exacto knife to cut off the excess (once it was dry of course!). I put a picture in it and was ready to roll!

I did NOT plan it this way but I thought it was too cute not to point out...
One spot on the frame says "Hold My Hand"

and another spot says "Wonderful Touch"

Pretty cute I think! How about y'all?!?!

Okay enough of mine and G's kissy wedding pic... I just love it though! And all for ONLY ONE DOLLAR!!!!! Whoot Whoot!!!

  6. Lol I've heard that saying before! This was a book that my father-in-law used during his police training!!! He became a detective so it must have been a good one!
