I got 3 of these bad boys for FREE!!! Someone left them behind my office building. Where they CRAZY?!?!?! I think so! I loaded them up into Black Betty {My truck} and took them home! I knew I could use them for something or another!
This weekend we redecorated our living room and dining room and I knew I could use some new wall decor! I took one of the windows and removed the screen with a knife.
Then I laid out some chicken wire and stapled it down.
Next I hung it up on my newly painted living room wall!
I used clothes pins to attach some black and white family photos!
{This is a photo of our downtown area in like 1920ish}
I love my new focal point! What do y'all think?
Love it! Thank you for linking up with Masterpiece Monday. Have a great week, Mary :O)
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought of doing that? Genius! I'm a follower now.

All you have to do is create a post about the party, include the party button, follow 2 or more bloggers then leave them comments so they can follow you back.
The party has just begun so hop over to http://www.homemakeronadime.com/2011/01/swap-followings-linky-party-013111.html

ReplyDeleteI love that you used chicken wire! Very cute!
ReplyDeleteLove it! It really turned out cute! You could also use the clothes pins that we decorated that Christmas too???? Just a thought.

You are my kind of person. You can take nothing and make something worthwhile out of it. A wonderful idea. I have seen a lot of chicken wire in my days, but never saw it like this. We would make a pair, you a young country girl and me an older one. I had never lived anywhere but the country till I moved here in 1964. We share a lot of the same interest and enjoyments. I came from Atlanta, Texas down in East Texas as well.
ReplyDeleteI love your new focal point, especially the chippy red paint paired with the chicken wire. The addition of the old photos is perfect. I'm your linky neighbor at Vintage Thingie Thursday and your newest follower ... I hope you stop by Cottage and Creek for a visit too. Great job!
